Canon announce PowerShot SX740 HS with 40x zoom lens and 4K

Canon have announced a new zoom - the SX740 HS. The camera inherits Canon's newest DIGIC 8 image processor, which enables 4K video as well as 7.4fps continuous shooting, and as fast as 10fps with AF lock on.

Inside is a 20.3MP sensor and the same 24-960mm equivalent F3.3-6.9 lens as in the SX730 that gives it 40x optical zoom capability.

On the back is a 3-inch LCD screen that tilts 180° for selfies and easy vlogging, and other features include a pop-up flash and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity.

The Canon PowerShot SX740 HS is priced at $399.99USD (About $530AUD) and will be available in September in a choice of two colors, Black and Silver.
