Winners of the annual Head On Portrait Prize will be announced on Friday 4 May at Customs House in Sydney.
The announcement will launch the month-long Head On Photo Festival, which runs until 3 June 2012.
Now in its third year the Festival will feature a wide range of photography across all genres with over 200 events planned at 100 venues across Sydney. Aside from traditional exhibition venues such as art galleries and museums, events will also be hosted in cafes, pubs and Centennial Park.
As well as exhibitions, Head On also includes artist talks, open studios, portfolio reviews, workshops, a two-day seminar and more.
