BenQ's new SW240 Colour Accurate Monitor is aimed at photographers on the go
BenQ have announced the SW240 monitor, a 24” 99% Adobe RGB colour accurate monitor that is compact enough to be transported outside the studio and into the field.
A smaller version of BenQ’s SW2700PT model, the SW240 features a 1920x1200 IPS colour accurate display offering both 99% Adobe RGB colour space and 10-bit colour. The ultra slim edge-to-edge bezel monitor was developed with input from professional photographers and Perth camera store Camera Electronic.
The monitor utilises an advanced 14-bit 3D LUT to achieve Delta E values of two or better and also supports hardware calibration with BenQ’s calibration software - Palette Master Elements. The SW240’s new inbuilt OSD hotkey (Colour Mode HotKey) allows users to switch colour modes on the fly.
For photographers who demand accurate colour on the go, a number of optional accessories will also be available, including a hard carry case, soft case, battery pack, soft shading hood and even a tripod mounting kit, making the monitor versatile for use outside the studio space.
You can watch a video of travel photographer Dan Avila testing the monitor in the Yukon, Canada, below.
The BenQ SW240 is available for $699 now at selected resellers, with the optional accessories in final testing. To find out more, contact Camera Electronic and/or Image Science.
