DJI announces $599 Mini 2 SE drone

DJI has announced the DJI Mini 2 SE, a lightweight, palm-sized camera drone that due to its light weight (249g), will be exempt from certain drone regulations in several parts of the world including Australia.

The Mini 2 SE features a 1/2.3-inch CMOS camera sensor, and is capable of filming video at 2.7k and capturing 12MP photos.

Like 2020's Mini 2, the Mini 2 SE has a maximum flight time of 31 minutes, and is capable of hovering steadily in 10.7 m/s winds. It has an on-board 3-axis mechanical stabilisation system, and supports HD video transmission at up to 10km. 

The DJI Mini 2 SE including the Mini 2 SE, RC-N1 Remote Controller and cables to connect a USBC, Micro-USB, and Lightning mobile devices, Intelligent Flight Battery, one set of spare propellers, gimbal protector, and data cable is available for $599.

In addition, the DJI Mini 2 SE Fly More Combo includes two more Intelligent Flight Batteries, two more sets of spare propellers, a two-way charging hub, shoulder bag, and propeller holder. It'll set you back $799.
