DJI launches new Power 1000 & Power 500 powerbanks
Chinese drone manufacturer DJI has launched the DJI Power 1000 and 500, 'versatile' powerbanks designed for fast-charging drones and common appliances, and an entirely new product line for the company.
According to the company, the two devices can be fully charged in just 70 minutes, or to 80% in 50 minutes, and fast charge DJI drone batteries with separately-sold charging cables.
The DJI Power 1000 has a battery capacity of 1024 Wh and weighs a hefty 13kg, with the smaller, more compact DJI Power 500 bringing with it 512 Wh and a weight of 7.3kg. The devices can provide maximum power outputs of 2200W and 1000W respectively.
When paired with the charging cables for drone batteries, the units can fast charge DJI drone batteries within approximately 30 minutes (from 10% to 95%). DJI says that using just three drone batteries and a DJI Power portable power station can power a full day of flight.
Both devices are good for 3,000 charge cycles and have a 10-year lifespan on the batteries.
The DJI Power 1000/500 is available to order from store.dji.com.au.
The DJI Power 1000 is $1,369 AUD, and the 500 $729.
