Laowa launches 28mm f/1.2 lens

Venus Optics has announced the Laowa Argus 28mm F1.2 FF lens.

The ultra-fast, lightweight prime is designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras and will come in four mounts: Canon RF, L, Nikon Z, and Sony E.

The versatile, but manual focus only lens is built around 13 elements across seven groups, including a pair of ED elements and two UHR glass elements. It has a 13-bladed aperture diaphragm.

The Argus has a minimum focus distance of 0.5m, and it weighs 562g and is 106.3mm long. The lens has a 62mm filter thread.

Finally, the lens has an aperture ring click switch mechanism for its manual aperture control, allowing users to have a "clicked" or silent and smooth aperture ring.
