Leica announce the C-Lux
Leica has announced a new point & shoot, the Leica C-Lux.
The new compact camera features a 20.1MP 1″ MOS sensor with 5-way optical image stabilisation, a built-in 8.8-132mm f/3.3-6.4 lens (equivalent to 24-360mm), along with a 3.0″ 1.24 million dot touchscreen LCD and a 2.33 million dot viewfinder.
Video users can extract 8MP JPEGs with the camera’s 4K video feature, which is capable of shooting at 30 fps/100Mbps.
Suprisingly, the $1,550 C-Lux is actually cheaper than Sony's recently announced RX100 VI, however many users have already noted it looks similar to the Panasonic Lumix TZ200, with a slightly different button layout. That camera is also considerably cheaper.
The new C-Lux is available from Leica now.
