Samyang announces AF 12mm f/2 lens for Canon RF Mount
Samyang has announced a new lens for Canon's RF mount, as more brands begin to release lenses for the company's APS-C mount cameras.
The Samyang AF 12mm F2 is a 19mm equivalent ultra-wide prime lens. Internally, it's made up of 12 elements in 10 groups, with three ED elements and two aspherical lenses. A 7-bladed aperture should deliver a decent bokeh and sunstars.
The lens is weather-sealed, and weighs 213g. It takes a 62mm filters and has a minimum focusing distance of 20cm.
Since Canon's announcement in April that the APS-C mount would be opened up to other manufacturers, we've seen a trickle of lenses for the mount - with Tamron announcing its first RF lens last week.
The AF 12mm F2 will cost $449 USD ($696 AUD). You can find out more on Samyang's website.
