Sirui announces 'Sniper Series' of AF-ready prime lenses
Sirui has announced a set of three new f/1.2 APS-C lenses its called the “Sniper Series", which for the first time in a Sirui lens feature autofocus.
The series includes 23mm, 33mm, and 56mm f/1.2 lenses available in three mounts: Sony E, Nikon Z, and Fuji X. Sirui says that two more focal lengths are planned for next year.
Each lens weighs approximately 400 grams, and they'll be available in black and white, with the black version containing carbon fibre elements.
All of the lenses will take a 58mm front filter thread, with the 23mm and 33mm versions coming with a matching petal style lens hood, while the 56mm has a 'standard' hood.
The lens series is set to launch in November this year, with Sirui planning to launch an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign at the same time.
They’re expected to retail for around €350 ($580 AUD) each, and we hope to have a review of them soon - watch this space.
