Chinese lens and accessory manufacturer Sirui has become the latest company to join the growing L-Mount Alliance.

The company makes tripods, lighting gear and a growing variety of lenses, including its Aurora series, and the Aurora 85mm F1.4, the company's first full-frame autofocus lens.

The company is also known for its affordable anamorphic lenses, and already makes four other lenses for L-Mount. Leica, Sigma, and Panasonic are all current members of the L-mount Alliance, but none offer anamorphic lenses in the mount.

Speaking about its membership in the L-Mount Alliance, Sirui says it is "set to significantly enhance the L-Mount Alliance lens ecosystem."

"Our aim is to introduce a broader range of outstanding, high-value L-mount lenses to the market," said Li Jie, Founder and CEO at Sirui Optical.

The L-Mount was developed by Leica, with the aim of providing a future-proof, flexible, robust, and precise bayonet mount. In recent years the Alliance has continued to expand its 'membership' (i.e. brands that share knowledge around the format), with Blackmagic Design the most recent addition in 2023.
