Sony adds to G Master lens range
Sony has announced the release of its G Master FE 100mm f/2.8 STF GM OSS and FE 85mm f/1.8 lenses for full-frame E-mount cameras.
Sony has announced the upcoming release of two new pro-level G Master lenses – the FE 100mm f/2.8 STF GM OSS and FE 85mm f/1.8 lenses for full-frame E-mount cameras.
The manufacturer says the stabilised FE 100mm f/2.8 STF GM OSS features an apodisation optic to help bokeh effect, while maintaining sharp focus. Construction includes an 11-blade circular aperture, one aspherical element and extra-low dispersion element to combat aberrations. A Nano AR Coating is claimed to help minimise flare and ghosting. The dust- and moisture-resistant lens offers a 1:4 magnification ratio and a minimum focus distance of 58cm.
The FE 85mm f/1.8 (pictured, right) uses an ED element to reduce aberrations, as well as a nine-blade circular aperture for smooth bokeh. Both lenses use Sony’s Direct Drive SuperSonic Motor (DDSSM) for fast, near-silent focusing.
Release dates and pricing not available at press time.
