Sony announce FE 35mm f/1.8 lens

Sony have announced the long-awaited FE 35mm F1.8 lens, a large-aperture wide-angle prime for full-frame bodies like the A7 and A9.

The new lens is small and portable, weighing in at just 280 grams and measuring 65.6 mm (diameter) by 73.0mm (length). It's also dust and moisture resistant.

Inside is a 9-blade circular aperture, as well as an aspherical element to suppress aberration.

The lens has a minimum focus distance of 0.22m and maximum magnification of 0.24x. On the exterior there's a customisable focus hold button and a focus mode switch for switching between auto and manual focus.
