Hi Alex,
Old trucks and machinery are a favourite subject for most photographers. This is not a bad thing; everybody has the right to photograph whatever they want, and these old-timers have a certain allure. Over time though there is always a challenge to come up with new and different takes on an idea.
As photographs go I think you have given this image a rather good treatment; it is sharp and the tones are well managed. You have even toned down the sky, although I think it would've been nice to have maintained more blue.
What I would like to see you do the next time you get to photograph this subject, is to explore beyond the obvious. Rather than just seeing the truck, look at some of the detail or put on a longer lens and try compressing some of that detail against the background.
As you get used to using your new camera, and get a little more experienced at seeing you will discover that there are dozens great photographs to be had around this one old truck.
I hope you get to revisit it soon.
