Hi Graham,
You have
asked whether or not I think this photograph is either edited. Part of me
says, no! At first glance most people would not assume that you've taken two
different exposures of the same image, one for the foreground and the other for
the sky, and combined them together.
That being
said, I don't really feel like the image is really 'talking' to me. Something I
would like to have seen in this photograph is some reflection of the sky in the
foreground; the sky itself is interesting but you almost need to see a hint of
that golden light in the water pool to get our eyes going down and exploring
that foreground. The horizon
line is an interesting and I actually wish you had made more of the play of
this in the photograph, rather than concentrating so much on the foreground.
As an idea,
I would go back at a time when the rising tide and the sunset were both working
in your favour. There is just too much distraction in those dark rocks lower
down on the beach; wait until the water is covering that portion of the
foreshore and have another go.
Cheers, Anthony
