This is a really lovely shot with beautiful lighting. The issue of lack of contrast was solved by the tweaking with software to show up the brilliant colour the tricycle which is what draws you in, while the remainder of the image maintains a timeless feel to it. So what could have been a very flat and uninteresting image has transformed into something rather compelling. Only suggestion perhaps is to be aware of the objects that border your frame. The slight snippet of the chair is a little distracting, maybe could have opened it up a little more to reveal more of it so as not to reduce the impact of the tricycle.
TIP: Colour or black-and-white? With the use of in-camera or computer software, the use of colour on a single object can make for a standout picture.
