Ricoh adds Theta SC to 360-degree camera line-up
Ricoh has added to its unique Theta 360-degree camera range with the release of the SC.
According to its specs, the SC is a scaled down version of the popular Theta S. While it still features the same twin spherical lenses and 14MP sensors, the SC has a five minute recording limit on Full HD video capture and there's no HDMI port.
Like the S model, the Theta SC offers smartphone control with live view and sharing on theta360.com and popular social media sites, and the company has updated its Theta S app for iOS and Android devices.
The 360-degree images can also be viewed in VR headsets and the 8GB of built-in memory can store up to 1600 images.
Like its predecessors, the Theta SC's unique slim design offers speedy convenient operation. When handheld the camera is activated via one-button operation or can be remotely triggered by smartphone when on a tripod or flat surface.
The SC is available in a range of colours to suit a wide range of users.
The Theta SC will be available next month at a price of $299 USD.
