2024 Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant opens for entries
Entries for the 2024 Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant have opened.
The Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant (IPPG) is an international photographic competition for young photographers who are 24 years of age or under, or anyone who is studying in a full-time photographic course.
Entrants must submit a portfolio of 12 images and a clear proposal of a project they would undertake if they received the grant.
The grant is named in honour of photojournalist Ian Parry, a young freelance photographer who died in 1989 whilst on assignment for British newspaper The Sunday Times while covering the Romanian Revolution.
For 2024, the IPPG will award £10,000/year ($18,000 AUD) towards the winners' chosen project, publication of images by The Guardian, a loan of Canon equipment for 1 year for the IP Grant winner to complete their proposed project and a year-long personal mentorship with an industry expert.
Entries close on 31 August 2024. You can enter here.
