The winners of the inaugural Aerial Photography Awards have been announced, with images captured from drones, helicopters, kites, balloons, and airplanes competing for the $10,000 USD grand prize.
The overall winner and Aerial Photographer of the Year 2020 was awarded to photographer Sebastien Nagy of Belgium, thanks to several awarded photos in different categories and a high average score. Residing in Brussels, Nagy began aerial photography on the rooftops of his city.
The competition received thousands of entries from 65 participating countries, with the jury awarding 106 photos in 22 Categories and 11 photographers in the six master categories.
Closer to home, Australian drone pilot Brad Walls won the Sports category with his image 'Ball up'.
