Speaking about the image, AP's Mike O'Connor said the image works because it transports the viewer to a place we'd rather be.
"Maybe it's because it's winter here, but this image has me dreaming of warm tropical climates. Sometimes the best images just work because of the feelings they evoke - and this does a brilliant job of speaking to the competition theme."
Matt takes home a 12-month AP or Capture subscription for ttaking out the competition this month.
