AP's free monthly photo comp October 2024 - Light and Shadow - the results!

Congratulations to Amy Barrow, whose image Escaping the storm has won AP's free monthly photo comp for October. 

Speaking about the image, AP Ed. Mike O'Connor said it was a shot with real mood and atmosphere.

"I really love this shot because it puts the viewer right into the eye of the storm. The boat looks so tiny and insignificant, and the moody and ominous lighting makes it feel like a still from a movie."
