The winner of the November 'Curves' competition is Marshall Ward.
Marshall's image "Sails" (below) takes a unique look at one of Australia's most photographed landmarks, the Sydney Opera House. The black-and-white image depicts the iconic building in an unusually sombre light but is a perfect illustration of the theme, Curves.
Marshall has won a Lowepro Photo Sport 200 AW camera bag, valued at $219 from Maxwell International. The lightweight bag is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and features plenty of space for camera and personal gear.
Fifteen images were highly commended: Ben Faiers, "White Curves"; Andrew Fuller, "Curvitecture"; Mark Glancy, "Nature Curves"; Mark Goodwin, "The Standard"; Pam Handyside, "Rail Curve"; David Haworth, "Castlereagh Curves"; Adam Huszka, "Skycourt"; Malcolm Katon, "Waves of Colour"; Hank Kordas, "Daisy Umbrella"; Jeff Levingston, "Water Curves"; Lisa Matuzelis, "Tunnel Vision"; Colin McCloud, "Body Curves"; Tracy Olive, "Smoke"; Andrew Peacock, "Glacial Stream"; Susie Thompson, "Nature’s Curves".
Thank you to all those people who entered the competition, we look forward to seeing more of your images in the December photo competition, Black & White. Note: due to the Christmas break, the Black & White competition will close early, on 14 December 2011.
