Professional photographers and high-end camera enthusiasts are a target market for Eizo's two new 24.1-inch computer monitors, launched in conjunction with its cloud-based colour management solution.

The two monitors, the CG247 and CX241, build on the current ColorEdge range and are aimed at professionals in photography, prepress, video editing, post production and other graphics  disciplines. Both monitors can reproduce 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space and offer easy maintenance with a built-in 'self calibration' sensor that is housed in the front bezel and enable users to pre-determine the calibration of colour and brightness.

The monitors are also bundled with Eizo's ColorNavigator 6 software which offers advanced functions such as emulating the colour characteristics of smart phones, tablets and other devices.

Other features common to the CG247 and CX241 include Digital Uniformity Equaliser (DUE) for  brightness and colour uniformity, a DisplayPort terminal for connecting to different computers and a 10-bit display that can represent one billion colours simultaneously.

For the centralisation of colour management on ColorEdge monitors, Eizo is introducing  ColourNavigator Network and ColorNetwork NX. ColorNavigator Network is a secure, cloud-based web hosting solution allowing an administrator in a single location to oversee a  network of ColorEdge monitors.

The CG247 and CX241 are now shipping. Pricing has not been announced.
