Epson has released an A4-sized photo printer that is capable of printing 'occasional' A3 prints. The Expression Photo XP-950 features two front-loading paper trays that allow users to switch between photo and A4-sized media without having to reload paper, as well as a rear speciality media feed for printing professional-quality A3 photo prints.

The XP-950 has a much smaller footprint than a conventional A3 printer and uses six Claria Photo HD ink cartridges (black, cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan and light magenta). Epson claims prints made with Epson media and stored in a photo album can last up to 300 years.

The printer offers a range of connectivity options and can be connected to an existing WiFi network or setup as a WiFi printing network in its own right, allowing users to access the printer from smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Users can also print to their home printer from anywhere in the world by emailing documents and photos to the printer’s dedicated email address, while Epson Creative Print App allows users to share and print photos directly from Facebook.
The all-in-one printer includes a scanner and copier, as well as a 4.3-inch touch-sensitive screen.

It's available now for $399.
