While capturing the naked form has obsessed artists for centuries, a new photographic exhibition at Sydney's Mercure Gallery gives the classic nude some contemporary exposure.

A contemporary look at nude photography can be seen at Sydney’s Mercure Gallery as part of this year’s Head On Photo Festival. The exhibition ‘Naked Lens’ curated by photographer and educator Len Metcalf, will showcase stunning contemporary images which pay tribute to the sensuality and beauty of the naked form.

The exhibition will include photographs by Jock Sturges, Peter Adams, Roberto Duran, Garth Knight, Peter Stanton (Mastertouch), Gordon Undy, Zelko Nedic, Edmond Thommen, Thea Tulich, Nicole Bordes, Yaz O'Brien, Dawn Webb, Ross Bray, Murray Austin, Scott Hartog, Mandy Harvey, Vivian Ward, and Len Metcalf.

Opening on May 22, the exhibition will be at the Mercure Gallery, 226 Victoria St, Potts Point, Sydney, from May 17 until June 23.
