The newest compact digital from Leica will feature a 14.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and 24-384mm (equivalent) zoom lens.
Expected to go on sale in June, the Leica V-Lux 30 offers 1080i Full HD video, 10 frames per second continuous shooting, and a built-in GPS which can be set to record the location and the local time of every shot.
There's also a new three-inch LCD display, which allows many controls to be activated by touch-screen.
The Leica V-Lux 30 is expected to retail for $849 and is bundled with Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 for still image processing and Adobe Premiere Elements 9 for video processing. There is also a choice of two camera cases in soft or strong leather.
