Panasonic Australia has recently launched the compact Lumix DMC-TZ20 and Lumix DMC-TZ18 – the sixth generation in its popular TZ Series designed for travellers, featuring an impressive 16x optical zoom, 24mm wide-angle Leica DC lens, with the DMC-TZ20 also offering Full HD AVCHD movie recording and convenient GPS functionality.

Retailing for $599, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ20 features 14.1 megapixel MOS sensor, improved Sonic Speed AF, iA mode, Power Optical Image Stabiliser, 3D Photo mode, and much more. This camera is available in black.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ18 records dynamic HD video in 1280x720p, iA modes, Power Optical Image Stabilisation, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Venus Engine V1, PHOTOfunStudio 6.0 software, and much more. The Lumix DMC-TZ18 is available in silver and is priced at $499.

Panasonic has also introduced the new Lumix DMC-FT3. The new 12.1 megapixel DMC-FT3 boasts enhanced ruggedness and is waterproof to 12m, shockproof to two metres, freezeproof to -10 degrees Celsius and dustproof. Now with built-in GPS function, compass, altimeter and barometer, the DMC-FT3 is said to withstand even the toughest photography challenge.

Retailing for $599, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT3 is available in silver, orange, red, and blue.

The 12.1 megapixel Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX78 features a 3.5 inch Smart Touch screen, ultra wide-angle lens, Touch AF, Touch Zoom, Touch Shutter as well as creative modes, and much more. The DMC-FX78 is available in silver and retails for $499.

The new Lumix DMC-FH27 and DMC-FH25 feature a powerful 8x optical zoom high quality 28mm wide-angle Leica DC lens and 16.1 megapixels for clear, beautiful images. The DMC-FH27 also features a Smart Touch Screen on its 3.0 inch LCD with intuitive touch controls including Touch AF, Touch Zoom and Touch Shutter for easy operation. The DMC-FH27 is available in black and is priced at $349, while the DMC-FH25 is available in black, silver, red and blue and is priced at $299.

Other new Panasonic Lumix cameras released include the DMC-FH5 (rrp $249), DMC-FH2 (rrp $199), DMC-S3 (rrp $169), and DMC-S1 (rrp $149)
