Darren Lunny is a Melbourne-based photojournalist whose love of photography began in London in 1989 when he bought an old Nikon FM2 from a pawnbroker.
Since then he’s photographed everything from fine food to underworld hitmen, a subject which culminated in the critically acclaimed Kill City - The Players exhibition in 2007.
"I love shooting great images. And I’m an inquisitive sort of person so heaven for me is taking my cameras to places I otherwise would never go. Whether that be into a slum in Africa or introducing myself to a stranger on the street and asking to take their portrait."
When not shooting commissioned work for editorial, advertising and corporate clients, Darren is busy with personal projects.
"There’s a million great stories out there and that’s what motivates me; trying to find as many of them as I can and bring them to life through powerful images."
