Sydney photographer recognised at Australian Magazine Awards
Sydney editorial and portrait photographer Tim Bauer has been recognised with the title of Photographer of the Year at the 2019 Australian Magazine Awards overnight.
The annual awards, run by advertising and media industry publication AdNews, is open to all photographers (both employed or freelance) across print, digital and websites. Entrants could self nominate or be nominated by an editor, and were asked to supply three examples of their work along with an endorsement from an Editor/Publisher.
Bauer was nominated by Good Weekend magazine, with his entry featuring portraits of television producer Andrew Denton, artist Ben Quilty, and literary agent Selwa Anthony, all published as Good Weekend covers.
Byron Bay wildlife photographer Craig Parry was also highly commended in the awards.
