The winners of the AIPP’s 2021 Silver Lining Awards
The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) has announced the winners of its 2021 Silver Lining Awards, the institute's online, digital photo competition.
Now in its second year, the competition attracted 2,300 entries in 2021, including 300 semi-finalists, 120 finalists and 36 placed entrants. The photographers who received a first, second and third placing in each category shared in a prize pool of $60,000 AUD.
This year, to encourage participation, the competition was open to members of the general public, whether they were based in Australia or from overseas. The competition was also refreshed in 2021 through the introduction of nine new categories: Manmade, Smartphone, Art & Science, Natural World, Shades of Grey, Colour, Home, Away and Stories.
