The project features a photographer set up on top of a classic wood-panel station wagon, capturing a photo using an 8x10 large-format analog camera.

According to LobsterThermidor, (photographer and LEGO builder Nick Micheels) the base of the model features foliage native to Yosemite National Park in California and includes yellow monkeyflower, whiteleaf manzanita, and a ponderosa pine tree.

He says he began designing the landscape photographer set as part of an official Lego contest focussed on nature activities.

“The inspiration for this set came as a response to the LEGO Ideas platform hosting a challenge for fans to submit ideas based on the theme of nature activities," Micheels told DIY Photography.

"As a fan of photography and an amateur photographer myself, I knew I wanted to make a build focused on landscape photography, and I wanted to build a large format camera at minifigure scale,” he said.

The Landscape Photographer set draws influence from an image captured by photographer Cedric Wright, who became friends with Adams in the 1920s.

Wright captured the iconic image of Adams working on top of his Woody car in 1942.

To make it into stores, The Landscape Photographer must hit 10,000 votes of support, which will mean it gets reviewed and in turn considered for development by Lego's official product team. As of today, it's got 727 days left to hit its target.
