Lens manufacturer Tokina has released a compact 300mm telephoto mirror lens for cameras with the micro Four Thirds lens mount.
The 300mm focal length of the lens offers an effective 600mm (35mm equivalent) telephoto focal length when it’s used on mirrorless camera bodies, making it a powerful super-telephoto lens. Even at this focal length, the lens is relatively compact so it can match the size of the cameras for which it’s designed.
The lens has a relatively slow f/6.3 maximum aperture, and is made with an all-metal lens barrel and very high-quality glass optics. It’s not an auto-focus unit, but it does have a wide grip area on the manual focusing ring for smooth movement to assist in accurate focusing.
