Video: Five tips for sharper shots
If you've ever pixel-peeped your images and been disappointed with the sharpness of your images, then this new video by Craig Beckta will be particularly handy. He shares five tips for improving your photography technique to minimise blurry images, regardless of your lens and camera.
Beckta covers many of the things you might expect, including using a tripod and having a good camera holding technique, but also some lesser known tips, including the importance of calibrating your lens.
Perhaps most importantly though, Beckta suggests shooting at double your focal length. If say shooting at 50mm, choosing a shutter speed of 1/100s will help ensure a sharp shot - it may seem too fast, but it won't hurt your image either.
