Video: How to create compelling waterscape photos
There's something special about capturing coastlines that draws photographers like moths to a flame. So, if you've ever wanted to dip your toe in (sorry...) where do you begin?
In this great tutorial by Andy Mumford, you'll learn a few handy tricks for creating dynamic, compelling waterscape photos.
One of Andy's key considerations is about understanding the impact that shutter speed can have on the flow of water. As he explains, unlike with shorter shutter speeds, longer shutter speeds can reveal the path water is following or its flow pattern. As photographers, this can be used to direct the viewer's attention (think leading lines), and in turn make for more visually interesting images.
