Despite being on life support for a while there, film photography is most certainly not dead, and all sorts of photographers are opting to take their photography back to a more simpler time and experiment with the origins of the craft. 

But what if you're a digital native keen to dip your toe into film but don't have a clue what it's all about? Well, you're in luck - this great video tutorial will show you how to get started shooting film. 

In this video, Gajan Balan looks at the gear insights into shooting with film compared to digital along with some great advice for things to consider as you start on your film journey. 

If there was one piece of advice that really stood out to us, it's that a shitty picture shot on film is still a shitty picture - it may seem blunt, but your choice of device won't take away from poor subject matter, exposure or light.
