Video: How to photograph foggy forests
Here's a handy video that should give you some new ideas for photographing in forests - even though we don't have many of this kind in Australia.
It's pretty well known that the best conditions for forest photography are during rain or fog, and in this video by fototripper, you'll learn a few techniques for making the most of these busy environments.
The beautiful thing about fog is that it can simplify overly busy forest compositions and hide and reveal different elements within the frame. We especially like how in this video Gavin breaks down a few of his compositional techniques for doing exactly this - the idea of splitting the frame in two, with the main subject on one side and a secondary subject on the other, is a particularly useful one.
