Video: How to remove a chain link fence with Photoshop
Content-Aware Fill is one of Photoshop's most powerful features. Don't believe us? Well just check out this video by Unmesh Dinda of PiXimperfect, as he shows a simple method for removing a chain link fence from an image.
Starting things off by creating a selection with the brush tool (the most tedious part) Dinda reveals a few shortcuts to speed up the process and ensure that every part to be removed is masked correctly. From there, it's a matter of using content aware fill, before performing some final tidy ups.
If you've ever shot animals at a zoo and been stuck with your images shot through the fence, then this trick could be just the ticket. It does require one of the newer versions of Photoshop however (the latest 2020 version includes a dedicated Content Aware fill button, while the earlier versions have it under the Edit>Fill>Content-Aware Fill shortcut).
