Video: How to take good wildlife photos with budget gear
It's a tough pill to swallow, but for great wildlife photography we're often told we need to have a fair amount of often pricey gear - or do you?
In this interesting video, photographer Espen Hellend uses his 'old' OM System Olympus EM-1 Mark II and M.Zuiko 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 II lens to take wildlife shots with some pretty impressive results for a system that would set you back less than $2,000.
What's great about this video is once Espen gets the limitations of the gear itself out of the way, he shares plenty of useful field tricks to improve his hit rate - things like trying to isolate your subject against the background and getting close are all handy tips that will improve your images regardless of what you shoot.
His resulting photos ain't half bad either (you can see them here).
