If there's one thing that'll put a downer on just about any landscape shoot, it's a flat and boring sky. So what should you do when you find yourself at the perfect location in unexciting weather? Look elsewhere of course!
In this useful video by landscape photographer Nigel Danson, he works under these exact conditions and shares a few helpful tips to improve your images when the sky isn;t playing ball.
Key is to remember that not all landscape images need to have a sky as a major point of interest. You can instead choose to focus on other elements - the foreground, textures, details, or even the way the light falls on different elements within the frame.
