Video: Simple tips for better foregrounds
Powerful foregrounds can make or break a wide angle shot, and they're a great way to totally transform a 'normal' landscape image to give it a three dimensional feel.
In this video, photographer Nigel Danson shares some useful tips and techniques for how to find and photograph foregrounds with a wide angle lens. As he explains, the technique works best when you have a foreground element that is isolated from the mid and background. Your foreground element doesn't have to be large either, as you can get close to emphasise size.
Danson touches on identifying foregrounds, camera settings, angles and focus stacking, while looking at some of his example images.
