When it comes to photography and travel, few can rival Ignacio Palacios’ experience, skill, and passion.

A third-generation photographer, Ignacio has been honoured with over 100 prestigious photography prizes and awards from around the world.

But most importantly, his experience in the field is unrivalled - he has travelled to over 104 countries in his 26 year-long career, and that includes leading 50 photography tours to all continents since 2014. Few know the world as well as Ignacio does.

Born in Spain, Ignacio has been living in Sydney over 15 years and now calls Australia home – though his unmistakable Spanish spirit continues to influence his work and define his signature style.

Photography and travel will always be Ignacio’s passion, and through his decade-long career leading workshops, he is dedicated to helping others ignite their passion too.

His secret is to focus on high-end locations and only with small groups; this means more unique and intimate photography opportunities.

“Some tours are in areas that are off the beaten track, but I also offer more luxurious options, where the lodges are in the most exclusive locations with access to more private time with the wildlife for example,” explains Ignacio.

Depending on the nature of the tour, Ignacio only accepts just four to six people per tour – allowing for quality time with his guests and dedicated support.

The result is his students push their comfort zones both creatively and physically, while improving their photography in totally unique locations. Here’s what you can expect on an Ignacio Palacios-led tour:

  • Enjoy one-on-one tuition, guidance and expert advice from a multi-award-winning professional photographer
  • You’ll learn the secrets to mastering the art of composition and light in your photography
  • Explore pre-visualisation techniques and learn about the creative process
  • Learn game-changing editing tips and tricks with special processing workshops throughout the tour
  • Learn expert techniques for landscape photography, travel photography, wildlife photography and portrait photography. While also working on aerial, black and white, and astrophotography
  • Should you dream of entering and winning photography competitions, or you simply wish to push yourself as a photographer, I’ll offer you professional critique sessions throughout the tour
  • You will also experience the powerful mastermind effect of connecting with like minded photographers and adventure seekers.
