Nicole Fan, A glimpse of Singapore (TRAVEL 2024)

To honour Singapore's National Day, this series was captured to highlight just some of her uniqueness and juxtapositions. The monochromatic theme was chosen to reflect the photographer's feelings of nostalgia for her home country after having lived in Australia for the past 12 years. Whilst completely urbanised with tall, public housing flats embraced by the majority of her 5.6 million residents, Singapore is still endearingly known as the "City in a Garden". Competitive on the modern world stage at the tender age of 59-years-old, she is unapologetically steeped in her protected multi-cultural and multi-religious heritage reflected at every turn.
