Kathryn Kelton, A Grizzly Tale (ANIMAL & NATURE 2020)
Orphaned grizzly bears were being put down with the thinking they would not survive on their own in the wild. A trial program was set up at Grouse Mountain to see if orphaned cubs could make it through their first winter. The trial was a success and cubs are now "rescued" rather than destroyed. Meet the first two surviving cubs, now 17 years old, Grinder and Cooler.
