PETER BARRIEN, An Alternate Vision of the Red Centre (Landscape 2017)
Sunrise and sunset images are often used to glamorise the centre of Australia. But the west Macdonalds ranges are lush and arid, colourful, sunlit and subtle all at the same time, more often than not living in a mid daylight which can create an equally striking vision. These images with one exception were created within 20 meters of each other to communicate that vision. The one exception was created 300 kilometres away, where the kangaroo grass is just as tall.
Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
