Lynn Rowley, Animals of the Ecuadorian Amazon (ANIMAL & NATURE 2024)
Some animals of the Amazon are elusive and utilise camouflage for protection from predators or to sneak up on unsuspecting prey. The Black Caiman camouflaged amongst the waterlilies lying in wait, in contrast to the Sloth camouflaged in the tree canopy moving ever so slowly. Whilst other species are bolder, the butterfly with his bright wings to attract a mate or the cheeky Capuchin boldly stealing fruit from guests.
