Amber King, Ares Tor in Black and White (B&W 2024)

I hiked and camped above Thredbo for an astro photography opportunity, however during the day there was a high thin cloud that made the range perfect for Black and white photography. The clouds made the sky moody and white and the towering rocks more striking against the stark white snow. Ares Tor jutted above the snow and is captured in the wide landscape as well as close up. The textures of the snow, ice and rock defined more acutely in Black and White.
