Amber King, Ares under stars (LANDSCAPE 2024)

In August I snow hiked and camped above Thredbo to capture astronomy photos of Ares Tor under starlight. I had two nights of clear skies was able to capture part of the Ram's Head Range as well as different angles of the Tor under the Emu constellation. I had to be quick as the rotation occurs very quickly and it is hard to focus when you are cold, lens fog was also a problem as the nights were so still. A magic experience nonetheless.
