Mary O'Byrne, Armchair Passenger (Time Out)
It's the end of a sizzling West Australian Summer day and instead of baby bath-time Auntie Lucy shares a special moment with Fitzpatrick ... there are little Brown Honeyeaters darting through leaves, hopping up branches, delving into flowers to feast on the remainder of the sun-lit nectar. A magical use of shade by the birds and they are really hard to track, but the boy is up there with them from the safe, caring, all-encompassing shelter of Auntie Lucy’s arms.
