Nicholas Smith, Artic Lofoten Finials (Landscape 2021)

The contrast between the Nordic archipeloga of Lofoten and Australia is so dramatic that every moment in this place is sacred (and cold). Each photo represents the architectural finials presented at every corner of this magical part of our earth. We see both the clouds and the wind sweeping the snow from the mountains; we admire the water frozen in moments with a wave of movement before a steely structure of rock; we marvel at life as the seaweed provides colour and the sun rises to light the sky in colour; and a mystical dragons eye with bright eyelashes admiring the sunset sky.
