Marie-Louise Myburgh, Big Foot (Animal & Nature 2021)

When this gannet chick stretched its paw in search of comfort it appeared like something prehistoric. It is so out of proportion to its white, fluffy body. These photos were taken on the Muriwai Gannet Colony cliffs, west of Auckland in January 2021.
