Cassandra McMahon, Braided Veins (AERIAL 2024)
The Channel Country around Windorah in the south west of Queensland, makes up a part of the Lake Eyre Basin and at times of flood, fills and transforms into a thriving ecosystem full of colour and life. When I was lucky enough to see this part of the country, the rains were still a far way off but observing the braided vein like structure that laps up to the outskirts of town was still incredibly impressive. The expansiveness of outback Australia is truly mind blowing.
